Help, what is the name of this early 80s synth/darkwave song?!!?

Okay, I've been meaning to ask this for a while now, and this memory is always in the back of my head. But back in the day, back in the day meaning the 90s, I was a child, and I remember watching the jerry springer show, and during the commercials, these ads would come up for music cds, or tapes or whatever. and i remember this one commercial, where they've got the bands that are feautred in the cd collection, and one of the music videos i remember vivedly, but i don't know who the aritst is! basically its a band of men, extremely thin, and very pale, with super black slicked hair, dressed in all black button down shirts and trousers, and they're performing in an all white room, and i don't even remember the beat to the song, except that it was this weird dark synth type **** from the 80s, most likely british, but then again can't be sure, although i am most certain they were english. anyways, if anyone knows what music video, song, or band i'm referring to, please tell me!!!!

thanks!Help, what is the name of this early 80s synth/darkwave song?!!?
I can't think of anything that exactly fits your description, but here's a few ideas

Gary Numan

Few bands to check out....

New Order, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Devo, Echo and The Bunnymen, Pet Shop Boys, Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark, The Smiths, Dream Academy....

There's a couple in there that don't match your description, but I think Youtubing those bands will lead you to the pot of gold.
