How come on here evreybody whos in the (country music) section dosen't know what emo music is?

i was on a question asking about ( fans of emo music) and all the people said ( i have no idea what that is and why is it in the country music category?).



i dont get it are these people like small town southernn old fashioned redneck country music fans or what? it's not like you go to the rap category and see hip hop fans not knowing about emo music............How come on here evreybody whos in the (country music) section dosen't know what emo music is?
they are REDNECKS? they wear velcrow because they cant tie their own shoes, they dont know music. they dont even realize that EVERY country song is emo. seriously, if you play it backwards, you get you truck back, your house back, your kids back, AND your wife back

I feel like traditional emo music isn't anywhere related to country music. When I was in high school, the emo listeners wore all black and had pierced everythings and lots of chains and hot pink/lime green/neon yellow bracelets/earrings/hair bands/etc. Is that not still the same way now?



Many country fans stick to their genre and don't venture far out of it, which is fine, but that's probably why they've never heard of emo. Just personal preferences, I suppose. I'm not a big fan of emo music, but I have a general understanding of it (I think, lol).



Not sure if that helps much, but a lot of country fans do come from small towns. Doesn't mean they're rednecks, just means they haven't been exposed to all types of music genres. Not sure why the emo question would be in the country section though. That doesn't really make sense. Most of them listen to mainly country music, therefore they do not bother looking into the sub-genres of rock, or other genres. I mean, do you know what Red Dirt is? What about Honkey Tonk? If not, they're sub-genres of country.
I don't give a flip what "emo" music is.
