Music.......................?

i know music is haram but come on many of us still listen to it any way what is your favorite song may allah forgive us all?

(and i know im getting some rude comments)but whatever!Music.......................?
I would have said something rude if it wasnt you. Honestly why would you ask this after what you have just said.
Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Music and interaction with the opposite gender are two major fitnahs amongst the youth. MāshāAllāh, it highly commendable and mature of you to inquire about the Islāmic stance on them with the intention of following your religion properly and gain closeness to Allāh Ta’ālā.

It is harām to listen to music according to the vast majority of the scholars of the past and present. For a complete discussion of these issues, please see the following two links:

why dont u ask about the best nashid?

Sincere repentance is not merely the matter of words spoken on the tongue. Rather, the acceptance of repentance is subject to the condition that the person gives up the sin straight away, that he regrets what has happened in the past, that he resolves not to go back to the thing he has repented from, that he restores people’s rights or property if his sin involved wrongdoing towards others, and that he repents before the agony of death is upon him. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Allaah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they whom Allaah will forgive and Allaah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.

And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: ‘Now I repent;’ nor of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful torment” [al-Nisaa’ 4:17-18]

so its wrong to ask about music in Ramadan or after Ramadan, bcz the sin is a sin and its wrong to say whats haram and say astagirollah and u dont wanna even stop.....repentance is when u stop doing the bad thing which u are doing.....

its better to delete this q...but im happy for u that u dont listen to music in Ramadan ma sha'aa LLAH keep the strong will...after all if u stop in Ramadan so why cant u stop in all the months?? dont earn sins sis, just leave it all ur life and in all the months in sha'aa LLAH.

assalamo alaykom and Ramadan Mubarak =)
Peace be upon you,

Music is a beautiful gift from God. It is used by every culture and it's a great blessing to have. God NEVER prohibited music in the Quran, so why should we prohibit it on ourselves? The following article will shed some light based on God's word - the Quran:
